TOGETHER

TOGETHER, 2023
Art installation, 250 x 400 x 250 cm. Wood, plants, textile, pvc .
June 9-10, Cesis, Latvia
The project was created within the framework of the conversation festival "LAMPA".
In the interactive art installation "Together," nature intertwines with man-made artificial elements - waste. Their inevitable interaction prompts some environmentally conscious individuals to seek harmony with nature, avoiding actions that harm it. The presence and impact of the human "footprint" on the environment become crucial considerations for a sustainable future. Occasionally, individuals with a careless mindset overlook important issues where their attitudes can exert influence. In the "Together" art project, a hammock was incorporated as a leisure element, allowing every viewer to engage and become part of the artwork. However, accessing the hammock required traversing the garden, potentially resulting in the inadvertent disruption of a leaf or flower. Fluttering notes were hung above the hammock, inviting visitors to contribute by leaving wishes, notes, or drawings for a better tomorrow—a commitment to making environmentally friendly choices starting from today.
