"Moliceiro Dance" (2025) is a large-scale salt installation created for the Festival dos Canais 2025 in Aveiro, Portugal. The work features a graphic composition made from salt pouring lines and salt sculptures of traditional moliceiro boats, paying tribute to the region’s maritime heritage, Art Nouveau aesthetics, and local natural resources like sea lettuce and red algae. Installed directly at the salt extraction site, the artwork gains added meaning by connecting material, place, and history in a deeply symbolic way. Its ephemeral nature emphasizes the transient beauty of both art and salt, inviting viewers into a contemplative dialogue between tradition, nature, and time.
